Kickboxing combines the arts of karate and submission grappling together in order to provide the most effective means of self-defense in realistic situations.

SHADOWBOXING Works on how to throw hooks, jabs, upper
cuts, elbows, knees.
SPEED TRAINING Blocking, punching, & kicking a focus mitt in moshi form--20 blocks, kicks, and punches in 5 to 8 seconds. That's right--up to 4 moves a second. Now that's SPEED.
I learned several different maneuvers in this class that I will take with me for the rest of my life, but it’s not the moves that I will remember; it’s the mindset. I learned how to get out of situations that I normally would have been submissive, but not anymore. Now I can assess more situations that may become violent, and properly defend myself. --Megan Burks

Grand Master Halterman has done a great job teaching the class all these moves and how to execute them properly. He has pushed us to perfect our techniques through a lot of practice and repetition. Anyone who takes this class can greatly benefit from it. --Navid Ghatri

I am more than pleased with my decision in enrolling in the course. I believe this course has an extreme amount to offer students and also many benefits that can be gained. Along with having fun, the seriousness and respect of this course has a positive effect on our attitudes and engages us in situations of personal achievement.
